Feeling sluggish or lethargic is a common complaint, and it’s a problem that can really undermine your quality of life. Perhaps one of the reasons why you wanted to try and work with the Law of Attraction is that you have a strong desire to boost your energy and feel inspired.

Alternatively, perhaps you’ve set a different goal for your Law of Attraction work (such as finding love or financial abundance). But, are aware that you’re vibrating at a low frequency that might make it harder to manifest your dream life.

Whatever your reasons for wanting to boost your energy, here are some strategies and exercises to help you achieve your goal.

1. Use Energy-Boosting Affirmations

Just as you can use targeted affirmations to help improve your confidence or get you into the right frame of mind to attend a job interview or go on a date, so too can you design affirmations that can improve your energy levels.

First, consider whether you’re primarily looking to build physical energy, emotional energy, or both. An affirmation for physical energy might be something like “I’m bursting with energy and ready to take on the day”. Which is great to recite when you’re feeling groggy first thing in the morning.

Meanwhile, if you’re hoping to become more emotionally resilient, you might say “I have the energy and the strength to deal with absolutely anything that comes my way.” As always, experiment with different ways to word your affirmations until they feel authentic and powerful.

2. Challenge Your Limiting Beliefs

While low energy sometimes comes from physical illnesses, it can also be related to generally low mood. Try to engage in some honest, thorough self-reflection about what you believe about energy.

Were you told that you were lazy or lacked motivation as a child? Do you have any thoughts about not deserving to feel energized and excited? Write down any limiting beliefs you discover, along with their origins.

There are several things you can do to challenge these misconceptions. One thing you might do is write down an alternative belief that you actually endorse as a replacement for the old belief.

For example, the outdated belief “I am lazy and don’t work hard to achieve my goals” could be countered with “My parents needed to see me as lazy so they could justify a controlling and punitive parenting strategy. I am a motivated and enthusiastic adult.”

3. Visualize Your Energy Growing

You’re probably already familiar with the idea of creative visualizations—vivid mental images of what you want to manifest (which should ideally be performed at least once a day). However, if you’re looking to boost your energy, there’s an amazing visualization you can perform to help you feel more lively and physically empowered.

Start by sitting in silence for a few minutes, focusing on your breathing and allowing stray thoughts to drift by without examination. Next, imagine yourself drawing positive energy from the universe.

Many people picture this as a golden glow but allow yourself to see it in the way that feels right. Feel that energy being pulled into all parts of your body, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. In particular, imagine drawing it into your center—right around your heart. Do this continuously for 5-10 minutes, and notice the difference in your energy levels when you stop.

4. Inspire Yourself

While our own intentions are incredibly important in the Law of Attraction work, it’s good to be aware that the intentions of others can also influence your ability to manifest.

If you feel your energy levels are low, consider who you spend your time with. Are you surrounded by upbeat, energetic people who are determined and vibrant, or do you know of many people who bring you down and focus on the negatives in life?

If the latter scenario characterizes your social life, think about how you can increase your exposure to positive, strong energy. It’s not just friendships and other relationships that can help boost your energy—just watching motivational videos and reading books about those who are bursting with energy can have a powerful infectious influence on your internal state.

5. Make An Energy Dream Board

Finally, consider making a dream board that represents your desire to have more energy. Fill it up with pictures and words that connect you with your intention to be energetic and positive—for ideas include images of people exercising, and common symbols of energy (like the sun, open flowers, or playful animals).

Look at this dream board every morning, and really soak up the encouraging messages it contains. You might want to set it as your background or carry one of the pictures with you throughout the day.
