Have you ever wondered why you react to certain things the way you do? Maybe you question why each of us has such vastly different behaviors and traits, that perhaps we want to get rid of? Do you feel that others are more successful than you, even if you try your hardest?
Everyone would like to be successful and wealthy. However, sometimes the way that we think or act can stop us from achieving this. Human behavior is a complex thing! It can be hard (although not impossible) to change the way that we think and act in order to improve our lives.
I am going to be discussing the revolutionary cherry blossom experiment, that’s shown incredible results regarding past experiences and information being passed on to new generations through DNA. I am also going to talk about how this can affect us as humans, and how we can use it to our advantage.
A study that took place in Emory University School Of Medicine has revealed that information can actually be stored and passed on through different generations.
The cherry blossom experiment involved male mice, who were conditioned to fear the smell of cherry blossoms. They did this by sending mild shocks to the feet of the mice whenever the smell of cherry blossoms had been presented.
This resulted in the mice becoming scared of the cherry blossom. These male mice were then bred with females. The next generation of mice did not become exposed to the smell until adulthood.
Amazingly, when they were eventually exposed to it, this next generation of mice also showed signs of fear of the smell of cherry blossoms. They would avoid the scent as best they can. Plus, they became extremely sensitive to it, although they had never actually experienced the cherry blossom before.
The results of the cherry blossom experiment showed that the conditioned fear had been passed down to the next generation through their DNA. They now had the same reaction (fear) to cherry blossom as their ancestors did, even though they had not directly experienced the initial negative connotation first hand.
This is because the new generation had taken in the information and experience from their older generation, through their DNA.
Transgenerational epigenetic inheritance is one scientific term for this type of information transfer. It is suggested that our DNA is marked and tagged with certain traits from our parents, as shown in the cherry blossom experiment.
Perhaps you have often wondered, for example, how some families always seem to make more money, even as the generations grow…? It seems crazy to say that because someone’s father became rich, that they will also become rich, due to their DNA; but the results of this experiment may show that it’s possible.
Whether it’s a positive or negative experience that your older generations have been through, it’s possible that this information can be passed down through your DNA. This, in turn, may cause you to experience similar situations and experiences.
If, for instance, your grandfather experienced money problems or struggle throughout their life, you could be more susceptible to having this information passed down to you. This can cause limiting beliefs and negative feelings to situations revolving around money.
Do you ever feel like you will never gain financial abundance, or achieve success in life?
This could be because your ancestors experienced this exact struggle and developed certain negative feelings and beliefs. This could mean that your full potential is being limited due to the obstacles passed on through your DNA.
These old patterns that have been passed on to you, can cause you to limit your success in life. Plus, it could result in you not reaching your full potential.
However, all is not lost, because we can change these patterns ourselves so that we can become abundant in life; you just need to know how to change your pattern.
If you feel that you have been limited in your success due to your DNA, it’s not too late to break the pattern.
Now you understand the science behind fear inheritance, you can move forward to combat it and live your own life.
