In order to practice the Law Of Attraction correctly, you need to make sure that your conscious goals are aligned with your subconscious ones.
If they are not, then chances are you are sending confusing signals to the Universe.
Here are a few examples of how these two may be contradicting each other:
When manifesting love:
Your conscious goal: To be with a specific person you like.
Your subconscious goal: To have a specific relationship that you know you won’t be able to build with that person you’re pursuing.
When manifesting money:
Your conscious goal: To be rich.
Your subconscious goal: To have enough money to pay off that debt on your credit card.
Another problem is all the subconscious negative beliefs when you have about yourself and the world around. They may be so small and fleeting that you never even notice them, and yet they are there, holding you back from manifesting your dream.
Here are some examples:
When manifesting love:
Your conscious thoughts: I want to find love and be happy.
Your subconscious thoughts: It is really difficult to find your soulmate and I probably never will.
When manifesting money:
Your conscious thoughts: I want a job that pays $100K a year.
Your subconscious thoughts: I am not qualified to have a job like that, there are other people who are better suited than I am.
Can you see the problem?
It can help you check if you have any of these negative subconscious beliefs.
And once you know them you can work on “re-programming” your subconscious mind so that it is in harmony with your conscious wishes.
This exercise is used a lot in hypnotherapy and is called ‘muscle-testing‘ or ‘the muscular resistance technique’.
In the Law of Attraction it is known as an exercise that can help you find your intention point – a space in between the heart and mind where the dialogue between the heart and mind will always occur.
Here is how you do this exercise:
Step 1. First of all, ask someone to help you with it. You will need an assistant for this exercise.
Step 2. Next, hold out your right arm from the side of your body at shoulder height.
Ask your assistant to start applying gentle pressure to your arm in the area of the elbow, pushing it down.
You need to resist this pressure.
But remember, you are not wrestling, you just need to find the ideal pressure that you can resist without too much effort.
Got it? Good.
Step 3. Now let’s check if everything is working correctly.
Choose something that your subconscious mind knows to be true.
For example, your name.
Say it out loud while your assistant is putting pressure on your arm.
If you are doing everything right, and if the thing you are saying is true, the pressure/resistance balance should stay the same as when you tried it in step 2.
You can also test a false statement to see how the balance will change. Your arm will get weaker and will not be able to handle the resistance as well as before.
It may take a few minutes of practice for your assistant to find the right pressure and learn to keep it the same each time.
Step 4. OK, now that you’ve established the technique, you’re ready to test some more revealing concepts.
To start with choose 3 or 4 of them and take a break after each one.
Here are a few ideas on what you may want to test:
It is important to understand that what you have just learned (and hopefully tried) above is only one exercise.
To really rid yourself of subconscious success blockers you need to use a combination of different tips and techniques.
Use the exercise above if you already have a few theories about what might be standing in your way.
But if you don’t know why it is you are struggling to manifest your ideal life, I would recommend starting with this free quiz here.
Answer a few simple questions and get a report detailing what exactly is holding you back.
Once you’ve received your personalized report, make notes and start “training” your subconscious mind.
Here are a 5 basic things you can do:
(…and you can find more on Subconscious Mind Control Training here).
1. Adopt the problem-solving approach. For many of us it is hard to stop complaining altogether and start seeing the positive in everything. But what everyone can do is look at every problem from the point of view “OK, it can be solved. How do I do this”.
2. Visualize your success. This is basically conditioning your subconscious mind for achieving success. Imagine what you will do and how it will have a positive impact on your life.
3. Write down your thoughts and then re-read them to see when and why you have negative thoughts.
4. Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. It will help clear the mental fog and boost endorphins. Running, bicycling, dancing or even walking will do.
5. Re-examine your short-term and long-term goals. Make a list of them and then ask yourself three questions: “Is that something I really want?”, “Do I believe I can get this?” and “Is it my dream or someone else’s?”.
