Is The Law Of Attraction Real & Does It Actually Work?


We can’t see it, touch it, smell it or hear it. So, how can we be expected to believe in it?

Like all things concerning the heart and our happiness, it can be easy to brush off something like ‘the Law of Attraction’ as spiritual mumbo-jumbo.

Even the most eager spirituality seeker can have their moments of doubt.

After all, when there are no hard facts to support our beliefs, how do we know if we are following the right path or simply reaching for something that is all purely in the mind.

Where’s The Proof The Law Of Attraction Is Real?

In today’s modern society, we have been programmed to look to the external for proof of our happiness. A nice car, a big house, sunshiny holidays and an important-looking career… For many, these things provide concrete evidence that a person is ‘happy’ or ‘successful’.

This is what makes the Law of Attraction such a source of confusion for many, as the changes that it can bring about in a person’s life are not always obvious to the naked eye.

With the Law of Attraction, the proof is in how you feel. You may think that all you want is a bigger house, slimmer body, or more money but at the root of all of these things, what is your prime motivation? You want to be happy. Maybe you think that by achieving these things you can become a happier person, can finally relax or feel good about yourself.

However, as many people have no doubt discovered when we do finally have these things happiness does not always follow.

The happiness that can be achieved from using the Law of Attraction usually begins in a less ‘visible’ way, a problem for some people that are unable to trust in something that they cannot see.

It is the Law of Attraction’s emphasis on true, internal happiness that makes it difficult for some people to see it as anything more than a laughable myth.

Mistakenly, people believe that the Law of Attraction is about visualizing the things that you want most or just asking for it, then ‘wham!’, you have a Porsche sitting on your drive…


This is a huge misconception. The things external to us do not create our happiness and we cannot simply visualize our way to what it is that we want. Instead, our lives and the things that we experience external to us are a by-product of what we are able to create within ourselves first.

The Law of Attraction is about swapping negative thoughts for positive ones. It is about focusing on what you want more of in life, instead of what you want less of.


Because it helps you to feel good. And when you feel good about yourself and your life, you begin to get the very best out of it.

It really is that simple.

When you are new to using the Law of Attraction, making subtle shifts to your attitude can prove the ideal first step.

Remember, it is all about maximizing your own positive energies until these energies begin to manifest in the reality that surrounds you.

Having a horrible day? Well, this may prove the ideal time to explore the power that is within you to create and change the course of your day.

Make a commitment to yourself to listen more carefully to your words and thoughts throughout the day. Decide to use nothing but positive, loving words, not only with others but with yourself also.

As your mood and attitude begin to improve, mentally note how the course of your day begins to change and unfold in surprising ways.

Look for evidence of your improved energies influencing the shape that your day takes. Maybe you get nothing but green lights on the drive home?

Or a friend that canceled her plans with you, texts to ask if you are still free? Maybe it will be something as simple as momentarily forgetting about something that had been causing you extreme stress?

Celebrating any evidence of the Law of Attraction working in our lives can not only help to keep your positive energies strong but can provide those first small but crucial slithers of proof that you have the power to change your day, simply by changing your attitude.

If You Choose To Believe In Just One Thing Today, Believe In The Importance Of Feeling Good

Nobody can tell you what you should or should not believe in. However, before you dismiss the Law of Attraction ask yourself :

  • Do you really want to throw away a way of thinking that could prove invaluable to your happiness and general well-being?
